God's Work.
Our Hands.

"Preparing to serve and love our neighbor — here in Stroudsburg and around the world."

One Sunday.
Hands Across the ELCA.

Every September, Lutherans all across the United States and the Caribbean come together for God's Work. Our Hands. Sunday — a day set aside to celebrate who we are as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, grounded in service to our neighbor.

At St. John's, we live out this motto by assembling personal care kits and school kits through Lutheran World Relief. These kits travel to families in need — both here in the United States and in countries around the world.

It's one of the most meaningful Sundays of the year: the whole congregation rolling up their sleeves together, putting faith into action in a very tangible way.
