Serving Our
Community

"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink,
I was a stranger and you welcomed me."
— Matthew 25:35

Hearts Open.
Hands Busy.

St. John's believes that faith without action is incomplete. From our food pantry serving neighbors in the 18360 zip code, to transitional housing, to childcare for working families — our congregation is called to be the hands and feet of Christ in Stroudsburg and beyond.

Food Pantry

St. John's food pantry has served neighbors in the 18360 zip code for years, providing groceries to anyone in need — no questions asked. The pantry is open the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month, 2:00–5:00 PM, at the side entrance off Church Alley. Walk-ins welcome. The pantry runs entirely on donations from church members and the community — non-perishable items and monetary gifts are always gratefully received.

Holiday Food Pantry Drive

Each Advent season, St. John's runs a Reverse Advent Calendar drive — instead of opening something each day, you give something. One donated item per day fills the pantry shelves for our neighbors in need during the most challenging time of year.
